Flat Panel Interior Doors

The Door Reduced to Its Essentials

A flat panel door has no milling, no panels and no mouldings: just a smooth, even leaf. It is the base of modern and minimalist interiors, because it lets the colour, the material and the proportions do all the work. Flat doors also suit rooms where the walls already have texture, such as panelling, tile or wallpaper, and the door should stay quiet.

Flat Doors and Concealed Frames

A flat leaf painted in the wall colour and set in an aluminum frame with no casing almost disappears. That is the idea behind our concealed doors: the flat door taken to its logical end. If you want a flat door with visible casing, choose a standard frame; if you want the door to vanish, choose a concealed frame.

Where Flat Doors Work

  • Modern condos and new builds with simple trim.
  • Hallways with many doors, where plain leaves keep the space calm.
  • Rooms with panelled or textured walls, so the door does not compete.
  • Next to wall panels finished in the same colour or veneer.

Sizes and Ordering

Flat panel doors are made in widths from 24" to 36" and heights of 80", 84" and 96" on most models, including inside-opening versions. Prices are for the leaf; hardware and installation are quoted after measuring. Our showroom is at IMPROVE Canada, Store #396-398, 7250 Keele Street, Vaughan, and doors are delivered and installed across Toronto and the GTA.
